Graduation

(Dress-Ann Taylor Loft, Shoes-Franco Sarto, Watch-Michael Kors via Nordstrom, Bracelets-, Jewelmint and Gift)

I am officially a college graduate! I graduate last Saturday and this is what I wore.  I had two dresses picked out but decided on this one because it is so classic.  I paired it with nude heeled sandals, I wanted a chunky comfortable shoe because I was so afraid I would fall off the stage as I got my diploma. I am happy to say I safely made it across the stage.

As for full outfit photos you can see they didn't turn out great.  It was so sunny and I already have a problem where my eyes are closed in half my photos. So I apologize for the random cropped photos.  As for that last photo,  my roommate told me to look like I was really excited to be graduating...and I pulled out the double thumbs up.  Yeah, I'm a total dork.

Outfit of the Day: The Animal Print Belt

(Top-Forever 21, Belt-Nine West via T.J.Maxx, Jeans-Lucky Brand via Mashalls, flats-Tory Burch via Nordstrom, Watch-Michael Kors via Nordstrom, Necklace and bracelets-gifts)

I'm obsessed with animal print, always have been, probably always will be.  I love incorporating animal print into outfits through accessories and when I spotted this belt for $16.99 at T.J.Maxx I scooped it up immediately. I love how comfy this outfit it but it still has kind of a glam feel with the pleated silky shirt and flats. Perfect for a day of shopping and lunch with girlfriends...or in my case, studying for finals.

How To Wear: Denim on Denim

I love the denim on denim look but it can be really hard to pull off.  I've discovered a few tricks I use whenever I want to wear denim on denim. Here are five looks I created that I can't wait to wear this summer!

My number one rule when wearing denim on denim is that one must be light wash and one must be dark wash.  I love this look, and it doesn't even look like you are really wearing denim on denim.  Plus how adorable is this top?

Still sticking to the light wash dark wash rule here, but I decided to do a super casual look.  The white tank top helps break up the denim on denim look.  I love how the unbuttoned shirt and fedora makes this outfit look super casual and perfect for a lazy Sunday afternoon.

Another great way to do denim on denim is to incorporate colored denim.  By doing this, it makes wearing denim on denim super easy because you don't have to worry about washes.  Not to mention its a great way to wear two summer trends!

Finally comes the jean jacket! I have owned a jean jacket since I was about 5 years old. I love them and they are a great staple. My trick when it comes to jeans jackets is to go with a lighter wash. Since generally I wear dark wash jeans its a safe bet that it will match my jeans. Plus it gives any look a more casual feel.

For the first look, I threw on a colorful scarf which is a good way to break up the denim on denim look and add a fun pop of color to your outfit.

For the second look, I chose a super flowy coral tank top. It's a little bit longer than the jacket and the color really helps break the look up. Throw on a cute pair of sandals and you're set!
