Outfit of the Day: Lady Like in Lace

(Jeans-Banana Republic Outlet, Shoes-Banana Republic, top-Urban  Outfitters, Blazer-Martin and Osa)

I am so completely in love with this shirt. I got it on sale at Urban Outfitters right before Christmas thinking it would be adorable in the spring with some skinny boyfriend jeans and in the summer with jean shorts. Well I couldn't wait that long to wear it! I wore it for Christmas day and have been wearing it non-stop ever since.

Outfit of the Day: The Itchy Sweater

 (Sweater-JCrew, Jeans-Levi's, Boots-Frye)

I actually wore this outfit to class on Friday, today is Sunday so I'm living in yoga pants and an oversized sweatshirt.  This sweater is by far the itchiest sweater I own, I have to wear a long sleeved shirt under it every time I wear it, otherwise I break out into random fits of itching and jumping around.  But alas, it is one of my favorite sweaters.  I also actually didn't wear these boots for most of the day, they have a leather bottom and with the icy sidewalks that means I'm slipping and sliding all the way to class, so I had on my ugly snow boots, but I know you don't want to see those.  Oh the joys of living in the midwest.

Five Ways to Wear a Fur Vest

I bought this faux fur vest on super sale at Herberger's and when I got home, was like "How the heck am I going to wear this thing?"

I decided I would show you five outfits I styled with my vest.  It was surprisingly easy once I got started and is going to become a staple piece in my winter wardrobe!

This first look is probably my favorite.  It would be perfect for a day of shopping or a casual lunch or dinner date.

This look is playing with a lot of trends, the vest, sequins, and flared jeans.  I decided to wear my hair up so it wouldn't take away from the sequin top and vest.  I love this outfit for dinner and drinks.

I am in love with sweater tights and high heeled oxfords! I decided to go with the blue dress to add a little more color to this look.  A fur vest and sweater tights are a perfect way to make your summer dresses winter appropriate!

I love this look for a night out! I decided to go plain on the bottom with skinny black pants and heels, and a sheer white top with the vest on top.  To add to a night out look I wore my hair in a top knot and put on big earrings.

This final look will be perfect for class. It's super cute and comfortable but the vest adds a little style to the look.  I kept things pretty simple, people tend to stare when you get super dressed up for class, I think their mouths with drop just due to the fur vest.

A Week in Arizona

Sorry I've been so MIA, I was on break spending time with family and friends.  Now I'm back at school for my last semester and I hope to finish out strong!!

Below are several instagram photos I took in Arizona.  We had perfect weather the whole time we were there. I'm really starting to think I need to move to a state that has 65 degree winters, the midwest -10 just isnt working for me.

Everyday Makeup Storage

I thought I would show you how I store my everyday makeup and hair products and such.  I like to keep everything on the counter. Also living in an apartment means there isn't much storage, especially when you have to share space with three other girls.  I have a random assortment of jars, antique containers, and ceramic pieces to hold everything.  I love that it looks put together even though everything is sitting out on the counter.

Above is an overall view of everything put together on the counter.  Its super easy to find things and makes getting ready so much faster.

In this jar, which originally held pesto sauce, I keep makeup products that are in tubes, such as cream eyeshadows, mascara, and concealer.

Also in a pesto jar, I keep q-tips.

In this antique jar, which I got from my aunt, I keep my brushes. It is the perfect height and I love the detail around the edge.

This container is actually an antique refrigerator dish. I absolutely love it and it is the perfect size to hold my everyday makeup.

Finally, this is where I keep the majority of my hair accessories, obviously my headbands are kept else where are they don't fit in such a small jar.  My friend brought this back for me from Mexico, and I love that it adds a little color to my bathroom.

I hope you enjoyed this and I'm planning on doing a jewelry storage post soon.  That will also a random assortment of antique jars and bowls, I have a slight obsession. Happy Wednesday!

Outfit of the Day: A Little Lumberjack

(Sweater-Carlson via Nordstrom)

(Flannel-American Eagle)

(Jeans-Legging Jeans from Gap)

(Shoes-Ralph Lauren Flats from Macy's)

(Michael Kors Watch and Tiffany's Bracelet)

Sorry I've been a little MIA. I had finals and have been celebrating the holidays with friends and family.  I'm at my parents house for the next week and as I'm sure you can tell, the lighting is horrible, my bedroom here is bright orange, not really my style anymore but I love my childhood room!  Today we spent most of the day shopping and running errands so this is a very comfortable outfit.  Not to mention its been so warm here I don't even need to wear a jacket with this many layers on!! Unfortunately it is going to start getting cold again :( but I'm enjoying it while its lasts!
